In the spring of 2009, a long time dream came true as a new tradition was born to provide additional funding for the Tech High School Activities Department. In addition, it was a great opportunity to reconnect the Tech family and create new memories with old friends. Through the generous support of Wayne Schluchter and the efforts of many volunteers, this event has now become the single largest fundraiser for Tech Activities.
In just the first year with only 3 months of planning, the Tiger Scramble raised over $10,000! The revenue generated each year is divided between meeting the needs of current Tech programs and creating an endowment for Tech Athletics. The Tiger Scramble has raised over $280,000 to support Tech students.
This Tech tradition has a home with Wapicada Golf Club and we encourage non-golfers to come out and enjoy the dinner/social after the tournament.
